Luxury Remodel of Loft-Like Second Home in Three Oaks, Michigan

This project in Three Oaks, MI was a work of love for the owner who also owns the art gallery below. This was an outdated, inefficient apartment that we converted into her dream second home behind and above her gallery. I enjoyed working with Bridget, she knows what she wants and we were more than happy to get the job done! Enjoy the photos and when in Three Oaks, MI be sure to visit Bridget Verdun’s gallery, studio b gallery in downtown Three Oaks at Elm and Sycamore.

Beautiful new hardwood floors installed throughout the home on two floors.

Creative drywall niches allow the owner to display her personal art collection.

A unique loft-like bed is enjoyed by the children and guests alike in the spare room!

Bridget’s design style is well complemented by the light color walls and trim we painted through out the home.

The historic built-in in the bedroom was salvaged, stripped, repaired and painted a color selected by the owner and works well as a dresser and closet now.

The 2nd full bath was installed on the second floor where a closet once existed. The stock vanity was custom cut to fit perfectly under the new glass block window. The walk in rain shower looks beautiful and includes luxury stone and mosaic tiles as well as high end faucet selected by the owner.

FRANCIS BRYAN REMODELING and a historic Chicago bungalow kitchen

imageFRANCIS BRYAN REMODELING enjoyed working with these Beverly area homeowners in the remodel of their historic Chicago style bungalow kitchen. The owners chose to keep their beautiful historic sink and traditional layout and FBR was happy to work with them. A custom made cabinet surround was created under the sink to allow for heat from the radiator below to escape. The sink was refurbished and turned out beautifully. Finish with a beautiful fresh coat of paint and bright white trim. Finally, the homeowners selected period finishes and light fixtures for a beautiful historic and updated look. What a beautiful sink and kitchen!

Custom designed bookshelves and storage in a downtown Chicago loft by FRANCIS BRYAN REMODELING

FRANCIS BRYAN REMODELING was happy to work with the owner of this downtown Chicago loft to finish a “bonus room” in their unit.  A bonus room is a windowless unfinished room attached to a loft condominium. Often found in many industrial loft conversion projects.

A French door was installed on this “bonus room” entrance and the custom book shelves/storage/bench was built by FRANCIS BRYAN REMODELING to the clients specifications.

The client is enjoying their new livable, useable space!

Morgan Park area of Chicago – Bathroom, Gut Remodel

Enjoy viewing the complete gut- bathroom-remodel in this historic home in the Morgan Park area of Chicago. The clients chose to remove the tub and install a walk-in shower as well as custom-shelving installed in its place. FRANCIS BRYAN REMODELING was happy to accommodate.  The clients also asked to have the original door converted into a pocket-door in order to save on space.  The new pocket-door looks great!  This second floor gut remodel included new copper plumbing and electrical runs through to the basement.  A new energy efficient, opaque window was installed as well as all new fixtures through out.  The clients chose a beautiful large format ceramic tile combined with a colorful mosaic tile for the walk-in shower.  To complete the new bath a European radiator/towel holder was custom installed.  This bathroom is not only stylish but it is warm and cozy as well.  The owners love to enjoy warm towels after a shower!

Yes, the top 3 photos are the “BEFORE”. The kitchen was not a disaster by any means, but it was dated, and not in the style, that the homeowners preferred. The homeowners wanted a contemporary look with traditional elements and that is exactly what they achieved!
